一、课程性质、目的和要求
课程性质:大学英语(三)是高等学校一门重要的必修基础课,适用于所有非英语专业本科学生(不含艺术专业)二年级上学期的英语学习。
课程目的:本课程以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化交际为主要教学内容,注重培养学生在听、说、读、写、译各方面运用英语的能力,使学生能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流。
课程要求:本课程设有精读、泛读和听力共48学时,期末全校统考。
1,听力理解能力:对题材熟识,句子结构比较简单、基本上没有生词、语速每分钟约占120词的听力材料,1-2遍基本可以听懂,能运用简单的听力技巧。
2,口语表达能力:能较流利回答课堂上提问,能用常用词汇和句型与同学进行讨论,能就所熟悉的话题经准备后做2~3分钟比较流利的发言,能简单表述自己的思想,能掌握常用会话策略。
3,阅读理解能力:能运用学到的词汇和语法结构正确理解与课文难度相仿的文章,阅读速度达每分钟60词。阅读难度略低,速度达到每分钟达90词。
4,书面表达能力:能运用学到的词汇和语法结构和功能意念进行篇章写作。
5,翻译能力:能够运用一些基本的翻译技巧来进行英汉互译,以段落翻译为重点。

三、教学方式、重点和难点
教学方式: 用联想生成教学方法促进学生新旧知识的交融,注重培养学生用联想和推测来填补空挡的思维方式,以提问和讨论为主,注重师生互动.
重点和难点:词汇;语法;句型;课文理解;每个级别相对应的听说读写译技巧
四、教学内容、课时安排
课时安排:本学期总学时为48学时,其中综合为24学时(每周2学时),听力12学时每周1学时),阅读12学时(每周1学时)。课堂上的时间与课下的时间分配为1:2,即每个学生每周课堂上4学时需要课下8学时来预习和复习。

笔试和口试。(笔试成绩占总成绩的70%,口试成绩占总成绩的10%,平时成绩占总成绩的20%)《大学英语》I为100分制,60分为及格线,不及格者重修。
