一、课程性质、目的和要求
课程性质：：大学英语（二）是高等学校一门重要的必修基础课，适用于所有非英语专业本科学生（不含艺术专业）一年级下学期的英语学习。
课程目的：本课程以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化交际为主要教学内容，注重培养学生在听、说、读、写、译各方面运用英语的能力，使学生能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流。
课程要求：本课程设有精读、泛读和听力共48学时，期末全校统考。
1,听力理解能力：基本能听懂用英语讲课，对题材熟识，句子结构简单、基本上没有生词、语速每分钟约110词的听力材料，1～2遍可以听懂，能运用基本的听力技巧。
2,口语表达能力：能较流利回答课堂上提问，能用常用词汇和句型与同学进行讨论，能就所熟悉的话题经准备后做1～2分钟比较流利的发言，能掌握更多常用会话策略。
3,阅读理解能力：能运用学到的词汇和语法结构正确理解与课文难度相仿的文章，阅读速度达每分钟50词。阅读难度略低的文章，速度达到每分钟80词。
4,书面表达能力：能运用学到的词汇和语法结构和功能意念进行段落写作。
5,翻译能力：能够用所学词汇和结构进行有难度的英汉互译，以较复杂的长句翻译为重点。

三、教学方式、重点和难点
教学方式: 用联想生成教学方法促进学生新旧知识的交融，注重培养学生用联想和推测来填补空挡的思维方式，以提问和讨论为主，注重师生互动.
重点和难点:词汇；语法；句型；课文理解；每个级别相对应的听说读写译技巧
四、教学内容、课时安排
课时安排：本学期总学时为48学时，其中综合为24学时（每周2学时），听力12学时每周1学时），阅读12学时（每周1学时）。课堂上的时间与课下的时间分配为1:2，即每个学生每周课堂上4学时需要课下8学时来预习和复习。

五、考核方式
笔试和口试。（笔试成绩占总成绩的70%，口试成绩占总成绩的10%，平时成绩占总成绩的20%）《大学英语》I为100分制，60分为及格线,不及格者重修。
